Built during the height of the global Arts and Crafts movement, Kier House is an excellent example of artistic detail and workmanship. From the Moorish arches which frame the east and west wings of the home, to box-beamed ceilings in the formal living and dining rooms, to the patterned window mullions and red clay tile roof, this fine home is a beautiful example of the period and a notable presence on Granville's main thoroughfare. |

The home was built by Harold Kier in 1912, as a wedding present for his new bride. They raised a family here and made it their residence until 1968. Located on a land parcel originally owned by Timothy Rose, one of Granville's founders (and distant relative the home's present owner), Kier House is one of the larger properties within the village limits. |
